About · MKN Web Solutions

Nine years of
tow software. One bar.

towyardIQ isn't a startup's first guess at towing. It's the newest platform from the engineering team that has kept a working Detroit tow yard dispatching since 2017.

From the founder

Software a yard can
bet its business on.

I'm Michael Mikhjian, founder and lead engineer of MKN Web Solutions. I've been building towing management platforms since 2017. Our first customer was A&M Towing & Service Center in Detroit — an Official Police Garage for the City of Detroit. They dispatched their first call on our software that year, and they're still running on it today.

An OPG contract is the most demanding work in towing — police-ordered tows, audited timestamps, zero tolerance for sloppy paperwork. Nine years of powering that operation teaches you things no product survey ever will. What breaks at 2 a.m. during a snow emergency. What a lien-notice mistake actually costs. Why a driver under a bridge with one bar of signal can't be told to "try again later." towyardIQ is all of that, engineered into one platform.

We write our own code. Every line. That's not a slogan — it's the whole engineering philosophy, and you can read exactly what it means below.

Track Record · 2017–2026

Our first customer went live in 2017. They never left.

A&M Towing & Service Center — an Official Police Garage for the City of Detroit — has run its dispatch and impound operation on our software for nine years straight. Police-grade tow work is the bar every towyardIQ release has to clear.

How it's engineered

First-party code.
Zero third-party frameworks.

Most software today is a thin layer over hundreds of open-source packages the vendor didn't write and can't fully audit. towyardIQ takes the opposite approach: the platform is engineered from the ground up, in-house, with no third-party libraries or frameworks in the codebase.

No supply chain to attack

The typical web app ships hundreds of dependencies, and every one is someone else's code in your stack. towyardIQ ships none. There is no package tree to poison, and no upstream maintainer whose mistake becomes your breach.

No inherited vulnerabilities

When a framework CVE drops, every vendor built on it is exposed until they patch. We don't inherit anyone's vulnerabilities, and we hold our own code to a zero-tolerance security standard: findings get fixed, not backlogged.

Every line auditable

We can read, explain, and defend every line in production — because we wrote it. When something needs fixing, we fix it at the source the same day. No waiting on a third party's release cycle.

Fast because it's lean

No framework overhead, no megabytes of borrowed JavaScript. Pages load fast on a five-year-old phone in a concrete impound garage, because that's where this software actually gets used.

Security as a habit, not a feature

Tenant isolation at the data layer, encryption in transit and at rest, role-gated access, and a full audit trail on every change. The same posture we've maintained for yards since 2017.

Built to run for decades

Our 2017 platform still runs in production every day. Owning the whole stack is why: nothing underneath us gets deprecated, abandoned, or licensed out from under our customers.

The short version

2017 to today.

We started with one yard's real problems and never stopped. towyardIQ is the same team's work, rebuilt for every yard in the country — with the lien rules for all 50 states loaded in from day one.

  • 2017 — First towing platform ships. A&M Towing in Detroit goes live.
  • 2017–today — That platform runs A&M's Official Police Garage operation for the City of Detroit, around the clock, through nine Michigan winters.
  • towyardIQ — Everything we've learned, rebuilt as one AI-native platform: dispatch, yard, lien sales, and compliance for all 50 states.
